
This presentation will address the history of The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the evolution of standards related to accessibility, the foundation of universal design principles, and the goals of inclusive design. Amie Keener, Firmwide Inclusive Design Network Co-Leader with Gensler, an architecture, design, and planning firm, will share recent evolutions of inclusive design and how neurodiversity is within the broader context of inclusive design goals and strategies. Amie will also provide examples of how designers, facility managers, and building owners can take necessary steps to promote and create environments for everyone to thrive.
